Coffee is actually very healthy. Coffee can
be pretty amazing for your brain, your skin and your body. It is loaded with
antioxidants and beneficial nutrients that can improve your health. Coffee is
more than just black water. Many of the nutrients in the coffee beans do make
it into the final drink.

A single cup of coffee contains,
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2): 11% of the RDA.
Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5): 6% of the
RDA.
Manganese and Potassium: 3% of the
RDA.
Magnesium and Niacin (B3): 2%
of the RDA.
Coffee can make you feel happier
A study done by the National Institute
of Health found that those who drink four or more cups of coffee were
about 10 percent less likely to be depressed than those who had never touched
the Java. And apparently it's not because of the "caffeine high" Coke
can also give you a caffeine high, but it's linked to depression.
You’ll improve your workout
performance
No need for workout supplements when you
drink a cup of coffee before your workout! You’ll organically receive a boost
from the caffeine, which increases the number of fatty acids in the
bloodstream, allowing your muscles to absorb and burn those fats as fuel. Your
body will automatically save its small reserve of carbohydrates for later,
extending and enhancing your workout performance.
Brightening Skin
Mix two tablespoons of organic plain yogurt
with one tablespoon of ground coffee and apply to your freshly washed face.
Leave the mixture on for 15 minutes, then rinse. The caffeine in coffee
stimulates circulation, which leads to a more radiant, glowing complexion.
Coffee could reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes
Coffee also lowers risk of Type 2
diabetes, according to a study from The American Chemical Society. The study's
researchers found that people who drink four or more cups of coffee a day
reduce their chances of developing Type 2 diabetes by 50 percent. Subsequently,
with every additional cup, the risk gets lowered by 7 percent.
Coffee scrub for your skin
Coffee grounds can be used directly on your
face and body as a natural scrub. The abrasive texture will scrub off any dull
skin, leaving you with a glowing appearance. The caffeine will also act as an
energizer for tired skin and puffy eyes, leaving you with a tightened and
youthful look. For a stronger scrub, add sugar to your coffee grounds. You can
also mix in some olive oil for a moisture boost.
Coffee May Help You Live Longer
There are actually several observational
studies showing that coffee drinkers have a lower risk of death. In two very
large studies, drinking coffee was associated with a 20% lower risk of death in
men and a 26% lower risk of death in women, over a period of 18-24 years.
This effect appears to be particularly strong
in type II diabetics. In one study, diabetics who drank coffee had a 30%
lower risk of death during a 20 year study period.
You’ll be less likely to develop
skin cancer
While there is no sure way to protect against
skin cancer or any other forms of cancer, researchers at the Brigham and
Women’s Center and Harvard University found that women who drink
3 plus cups of coffee per day are less likely to develop skin cancer than women
who don’t drink coffee at all.
Coffee curbs depression
Multiple studies have linked coffee drinking
to lower rates of depression in both men and women. In several studies,
the data suggested an inverse relationship between coffee consumption and
depression, in other words, heavy coffee drinkers seemed to have the lowest
risk (up to 20 percent) of depression.
Researchers aren't yet sure how coffee seems
to stave off depression, but it is known that caffeine activates
neurotransmitters that control mood, including dopamine and serotonin.
